Payroll Deduction

About 75% of all donations made to United Way of Northeast Mississippi are through payroll deduction. During employee campaigns, all employees are given a United Way guide and pledge form. When filling out the pledge form, simply check the box under the heading “Payroll Deduction” that corresponds to the level of giving at which you wish to participate.

By donating at the “Average Gift” level of just $3.45/week, you become eligible to receive a United Way t-shirt and Merchant Discount Card! Once you have chosen your level of giving, the pledge form should be turned in to your payroll department. The deduction amounts will be entered by your Human Resources and Payroll departments, and will then be taken directly from your pre-tax paycheck.

Payroll deduction is by far the most convenient way to give. You sign the form once a year, and that’s it — you’ve just contributed to 65 local health and human service agencies and made your community stronger.
